Description

This black pepper chicken tastes just like the Chinese takeout favorite, golden-fried chicken in a soy, wine, and black pepper sauce, and served over white rice.

Ingredient

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- Salt, to taste

Direction

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to fully coat the chicken pieces with the seasonings.

 

2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.

 

3. Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown on the outside.

 

4. Taste the chicken and add more salt if needed.

 

5. Serve the black pepper chicken warm with your choice of sides, such as rice, vegetables, or salad. Enjoy!
