Caprese Grilled Cheese

Description

Get the best damn tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil you can find, put 'em on a plate, sprinkle them with salt and pepper, drizzle them with the best damn olive oil, and stop right there.

Ingredient

- Sliced bread

- Sliced mozzarella cheese

- Sliced tomatoes

- Fresh basil leaves

- Olive oil

- Salt

- Black pepper

- Dried oregano

Direction

1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.

2. Drizzle olive oil on one side of each slice of bread.

3. Place one slice of bread, oil side down, in the skillet.

4. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese on top of the bread slice.

5. Sprinkle a pinch of salt, black pepper, and dried oregano on top of the cheese.

6. Place a few basil leaves on top of the spices.

7. Add a layer of tomato slices on top of the basil.

8. Sprinkle another pinch of salt, black pepper, and dried oregano on top of the tomatoes.

9. Add another layer of mozzarella cheese on top of the tomatoes.

10. Place the second slice of bread on top, oil side up.

11. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the bottom of the sandwich is golden brown.

12. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the second side is golden brown.

13. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute.

14. Cut the sandwich in half and serve hot. Enjoy your Caprese Grilled Cheese!
