Description

This sort of family meal is well worth making in bulk so you can eat one now and freeze the rest for later

Ingredient

- 1 box of pasta

- 1 can of diced tomatoes

- 1 cup of shredded cheese

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- Salt and pepper, to taste

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Direction

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, making sure to add a generous amount of salt to the boiling water.

3. In a separate bowl, mix together the diced tomatoes, olive oil, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the bowl with the tomato mixture. Mix well to combine.

5. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and pour the pasta mixture into it.

6. Top the pasta with shredded cheese, making sure to cover the entire surface.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. If you want a golden brown crust on top, broil the pasta for an additional 2-3 minutes.

9. Once done, remove the pasta bake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

10. Enjoy your delicious and easy cheese and tomato pasta bake! You can also add some fresh herbs or additional seasonings on top before serving, if desired.
