Make this cheesy sprout pasta bake for a filling family supper. Our easy veggie recipe makes for a tasty twist on a standard macaroni cheese

Ingredient

- 1 pound of pasta (any type, such as penne or fusilli)

- 1 pound of Brussels sprouts

- 1 cup of shredded cheese (any type, such as cheddar or mozzarella)

- 2 tablespoons of olive oil

- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon of onion powder

- 1 teaspoon of dried basil

- Salt and pepper to taste

Direction

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

3. While the pasta is cooking, prepare the Brussels sprouts. Remove any damaged or discolored outer leaves and wash them thoroughly. Cut off the hard stem and then cut the sprouts in half.

4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Brussels sprouts and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to become tender.

5. Season the sprouts with garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, and salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are fully cooked and slightly browned.

6. In a baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and Brussels sprouts. Mix well.

7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the pasta and sprouts mixture.

8. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Let the pasta bake cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your cheesy sprout pasta bake!
