recipe Detail

Description

Chopping the beef into small pieces first means everything cooks through in about five minutes.

Ingredient

- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced

- 1 head of broccoli, cut into small florets

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- Salt and pepper

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon ginger powder

- 1/4 cup soy sauce

- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

- 1/4 cup water

- Cooked rice, for serving

Direction

1. In a small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet and sprinkle half of the spice mixture over the beef. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

4. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

6. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly softened.

7. In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of water. Pour this mixture over the broccoli in the skillet.

8. Add the remaining spice mixture to the skillet and stir well.

9. Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together until the beef is coated in the sauce and the broccoli is fully cooked.

10. Serve the beef and broccoli stir fry over a bed of cooked rice. Enjoy!
