- 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
1. Begin by boiling a large pot of water. Once boiling, add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the cubed chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, until chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir in 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Let the cream simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Slowly whisk in 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese until it is fully melted and incorporated into the cream. This will create a creamy and flavorful sauce.
6. Add the cooked chicken back into the pan with the sauce and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
7. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, according to taste.
8. Pour the chicken alfredo sauce over the cooked penne pasta and toss it all together until the pasta is fully coated in the sauce.
9. Serve the Easy Chicken Alfredo Penne hot and enjoy! Optional: garnish with additional parmesan cheese and chopped parsley for added flavor and presentation.
