A simple cheesy tuna bake that's filling and guaranteed to be a hit with the kids
- 1 (12 oz) package of pasta (any shape)
- 1 (5 oz) can of tuna, drained
- 1 cup of frozen peas
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- 1 tsp of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until it is al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. This will be the seasoning for the tuna pasta bake.
4. In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread out the cooked pasta evenly.
5. Add the drained tuna and frozen peas on top of the pasta.
6. Pour the seasoned olive oil mixture over the pasta, tuna, and peas. Use a spoon or spatula to mix and coat everything evenly.
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the pasta.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
10. Serve hot and enjoy your easy and delicious tuna pasta bake! Optional: top with some fresh chopped parsley for added flavor and color.
