Layers of creamy egg salad, crisp red onion, herbed cream cheese, and salty, briney caviar come together in a beautiful molded dip that serves up an entire caviar platter in one dish.
- 1 can of black beans
- 1 avocado
- 1 small red onion
- 1 jar of caviar
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Cumin
1. Drain and rinse the can of black beans. Mash the beans in a bowl until they are smooth.
2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and scoop the flesh into a separate bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until it is smooth.
3. Finely chop the red onion and set aside.
4. In a small saucepan, heat up 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the mashed black beans to the pan and stir in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1 teaspoon of cumin. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. In a small mixing bowl, combine the mashed avocado with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well.
6. In a separate serving dish, spread the black bean mixture evenly as the bottom layer.
7. Next, add the mashed avocado mixture on top of the black beans as the second layer.
8. Sprinkle the finely chopped red onion as the third layer.
9. Open the jar of caviar and carefully spread it on top of the red onion as the fourth and final layer.
10. For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of salt, black pepper, and cumin on top of the caviar.
11. Serve with your favorite crackers or chips and enjoy your delicious Four-Layer Caviar Dip!
