Mixed berry, s'mores, strawberry cheesecake, and cinnamon bun French toast. There's a flavor for everyone to enjoy!
- 8 slices of bread
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Powdered sugar
- Maple syrup
- Optional toppings: sliced bananas, chocolate chips, diced strawberries, whipped cream
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg until well combined. Set aside.
2. Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
3. Dip one slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure it is evenly coated on both sides.
4. Place the bread into the heated pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
5. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread, adding more oil to the pan as needed.
Classic French Toast:
6. Serve the French toast hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with maple syrup.
Banana Chocolate French Toast:
7. In a small saucepan, heat 1/4 cup of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of milk until melted, stirring constantly.
8. Top each slice of French toast with sliced bananas and drizzle with the melted chocolate mixture.
Strawberry Cream French Toast:
9. In a small mixing bowl, beat 1/2 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
10. Top each slice of French toast with diced strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream.
Cinnamon Sugar French Toast:
11. In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
12. Sprinkle the mixture over each slice of French toast before serving.
