Ingredient

- 1 pound chicken breast, diced

- 1 pound whole wheat pasta

- 1 can diced tomatoes

- 1 cup chicken broth

- 1 onion, diced

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1 teaspoon dried thyme

- Salt and pepper, to taste

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Direction

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

2. In a large pot, cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, dried oregano, basil, and thyme. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

4. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the onions are translucent.

5. Pour in the can of diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

6. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread out the cooked pasta in an even layer. Pour the chicken and tomato mixture over the pasta, making sure to spread it out evenly.

7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the pasta and chicken.

8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Let the pasta bake cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your healthy chicken pasta bake!
