- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, chopped pecans, maple syrup, olive oil, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
2. Stir until well combined.
3. Pour the mixture into a jar or container with a lid.
4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
5. The next morning, remove the oatmeal from the refrigerator and give it a good stir.
6. If the oatmeal is too thick, you can add a splash of milk to thin it out.
7. Heat a small skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
8. Once the skillet is hot, pour the oatmeal mixture into the skillet.
9. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal is heated through and the pecans are slightly toasted.
10. Remove from heat and serve in a bowl.
