- 1 package of pre-made puff pastry
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 pound ground pork sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (such as oregano, basil, and thyme)
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork sausage, grated parmesan cheese, dried Italian herbs, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
3. Dust a flat surface with flour and roll out the pre-made puff pastry. Cut it into even rectangles, about 4 inches wide and 6 inches long.
4. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture onto one end of each rectangle and roll it up tightly, tucking in the ends as you go.
5. Place the sausage rolls onto a lined baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle some more parmesan cheese on top.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is fully cooked.
7. Serve hot as an appetizer or snack. You can also serve them with a side of marinara or tomato sauce for dipping.
Enjoy your delicious and easy Parmesan and pork sausage rolls!
