Pressure-Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

recipe Detail

Description

Melt-in-your-mouth delicious! For this steak and cheese recipe, I like to saute extra onions and green pepper just until they are al dente to add to the top of the meat before melting the cheese.

Ingredient

- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced

- 1 onion, thinly sliced

- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

- 1 clove garlic, minced

- 1 cup beef broth

- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 tsp black pepper

- 1 tsp garlic powder

- 1 tsp onion powder

- 1 tbsp olive oil

- 4 hoagie rolls

- 8 slices provolone cheese

Direction

1. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.

2. Turn on the pressure cooker and select the sauté function. Heat olive oil in the pot.

3. Add the thinly sliced beef to the pot and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

4. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes until vegetables are slightly softened.

5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.

6. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the meat and vegetables, making sure to coat everything evenly.

7. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.

8. Once the cooking time is complete, carefully release the pressure and open the lid.

9. Preheat your oven to broil.

10. Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Lay two slices of provolone cheese on one half of each roll.

11. Use tongs to transfer the meat and vegetables onto the other half of the rolls. Top with two more slices of provolone cheese.

12. Place the baking sheet in the oven and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

13. Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and place the cheese-covered half of the roll on top of the meat and vegetables.

14. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Pressure-Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches!
