Roast beef tray sandwiches

recipe Detail

Description

Easy traybake bread, a British take on focaccia with condiments and some of the filling niftily built in, is the basis for these chunky roast beef sandwiches. They’re a fun way to serve a crowd.

Ingredient

- 1 lb roast beef

- 8 slices of bread

- Olive oil

- Salt

- Black pepper

- Garlic powder

- Onion powder

- Dried basil

- Dried oregano

- Dried thyme

- Dried parsley

Direction

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Season the roast beef with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, and dried parsley. Rub the seasoning into the meat to ensure it is evenly coated.

3. Place the roast beef on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 25 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

4. While the roast beef is cooking, lightly toast the slices of bread.

5. Once the roast beef is done, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing thinly.

6. Take four of the toasted bread slices and place them on a baking tray. Top each slice with a generous amount of sliced roast beef.

7. Place the remaining four slices of toast on top of the roast beef to create sandwiches.

8. Drizzle olive oil over the top of each sandwich and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

9. Place the baking tray back into the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the sandwiches are heated through and the bread is crispy.

10. Serve the roast beef tray sandwiches hot and enjoy! You can also add additional toppings such as cheese, lettuce, tomato, or your favorite condiments.
