- 1 lb sausage balls
- 1 box pasta
- 2 cups pasta sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. While the pasta is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage balls and cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
4. Add 2 cups of your favorite pasta sauce to the skillet with the sausage balls. Stir in 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of dried oregano, and salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
5. In a separate bowl, mix together the cooked pasta, sausage and sauce mixture, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese.
6. Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional parmesan cheese and chopped fresh herbs, if desired.
