Description

These kipper and chive soufflés have a rich, deep yet gently smoky flavour, and the buttery rye crumbs give you great contrast in texture. All rise for our light and airy soufflé recipes collection.

Ingredient

- 4 smoked kippers

- 1 cup chives, chopped

- 4 eggs

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- Salt and pepper

- 1 tsp smoked paprika

- 1 tsp dried thyme

Direction

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9-inch baking dish by greasing it with olive oil.

2. In a medium-sized bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.

3. Flake the smoked kippers into small pieces and add them to the beaten eggs. Mix well.

4. Add the chopped chives to the egg and kipper mixture, reserving a small amount for garnish. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and dried thyme. Mix until well combined.

5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the soufflé is puffed and golden brown on top.

7. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

8. Serve hot, garnished with the reserved chives.
