These gooey grilled cheese sandwiches taste great for lunch with sliced apples. And they're really fast to whip up, too. Here's how to make grilled cheese the right way.
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 2 slices of tomato
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Oregano
1. Start by preheating a pan or skillet over medium heat.
2. Lay out the 2 slices of bread on a cutting board or plate.
3. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on one side of each slice of bread.
4. Sprinkle a pinch of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano on the oiled side of the bread.
5. Place one slice of cheddar cheese on top of one slice of bread, followed by one slice of mozzarella cheese.
6. Place the two slices of tomato on top of the cheese.
7. Add the second slice of cheddar cheese on top of the tomato slices, followed by the second slice of mozzarella cheese.
8. Place the second slice of bread on top, with the oiled side facing up.
9. Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated pan, oiled side down.
10. Let the sandwich cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown and crispy.
11. Carefully flip the sandwich over to the other side and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
12. Remove the sandwich from the pan and let it cool for a minute before slicing it in half.
13. Serve your Ultimate Grilled Cheese while it's still warm and enjoy!
